Every year, LPCAs and LPCCs are required to complete 10 hours of coursework, which can be completed through home study.

Once every three years, a 3-hour law course must be taken, which must be presented by a Kentucky Professional Counseling approved provider and pertain to the laws governing professional counseling in Kentucky.

6 hours of suicide assessment, treatment, and management coursework must be completed within the first year of obtaining a license and every six years thereafter.

Therapy Trainings™, an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider _______, offers courses that are accepted by the Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCCs) and Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPCAs) in Kentucky have the option to earn ten (10) of their credits online through this provider.
