What is the difference between LPC and LPCC requirements?
LPCs need 30 hours of CE every 2 years. LPCCs (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors) must document an additional 10 clinical education hours, for a total of 40 hours every 2 years.
What are the recent changes to addiction counselor requirements?
Ethics hours increased to 6 hours (NEW requirement). Supervision hours were lowered from 10 CEUs to 3 hours per cycle. The sum total remains 40 hours.
What is the home-study limit for addiction counselors?
A maximum of 30 hours may be completed through home-study. Additionally, no single course can exceed 25 hours.
Why is Therapy Trainings not accepted for MFTs in North Dakota?
The North Dakota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy has specific approval requirements that we do not currently meet. MFTs should contact the board directly for a list of approved CE providers.
