No, Therapy Trainings CE is not accepted by the New Mexico State Board of Psychologist Examiners at this time. Psychologists must seek CE from providers approved by the NM Board.

What are the ethics requirements in New Mexico?

Counselors, MFTs, and Addiction Counselors all require 12 hours of ethics. Psychologists require 4 hours of ethics. Social Workers do not have a specific ethics requirement but must complete 6 hours in cultural competency.

What is the difference between Category I and Category II for psychologists?

Category I is the most stringent in terms of presentation standards and monitoring. At least 15 of the 40 required hours must be in Category I. Additional hours may be from either Category I or Category II.
