Yes, with limits. Most professions allow a maximum of 10 hours online/asynchronous CE. Ethics hours must be completed in live/synchronous settings for most professions.
Why must ethics be completed live in Georgia?
Georgia requires ethics CE to be obtained through synchronous/live activities to ensure interactive learning and real-time engagement with ethical scenarios and discussions.
When do Georgia licenses renew?
Renewal cycles vary by profession: Counselors renew September 30 of even years, Social Workers renew on an odd-year cycle (April 1 to March 31), and MFTs renew October 1 to September 30 of even years.
Is Therapy Trainings approved for Georgia psychologists?
No. Therapy Trainings CE is not currently accepted by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Psychologists. We are approved for Counselors, Social Workers, MFTs, and Addiction Counselors in Georgia.
Does Georgia require teletherapy training?
Yes. Marriage and Family Therapists must complete 6 hours on teletherapy topics, and Addiction Counselors must complete 6 hours of telemental health training each renewal cycle.
