About the New Graduate Program

The Therapy Trainings® New Graduate Program provides one full year of free access to our entire library of on-demand continuing education courses for mental health professionals who have recently graduated or are completing their final semester. We created this program because we believe the cost of CE should not be a barrier during the most financially challenging time in a clinician's career.

Who Is Eligible?

The New Graduate Program is open to mental health professionals who meet all of the following criteria:

Graduation Timing

You must have graduated within the last 6 months, or be currently enrolled in your final semester with a confirmed upcoming graduation date.

Eligible Degree Programs

Master's or doctoral-level programs in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or addiction counseling from an accredited institution.

Eligible License Types

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC, LMHC, LCPC, LPCA), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW, CSW, LSW), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists, and Addiction Counselors (LCAC, LAC, CADC) and those working toward these licenses.

Eligible Professions and Degree Programs

The New Graduate Program is open to graduates of accredited master's and doctoral programs in the following fields:

Counseling

Mental health counseling, clinical counseling, school counseling with a clinical track, rehabilitation counseling. Pursuing LPC, LMHC, LCPC, or LPCA licensure.

Social Work

Master of Social Work (MSW) or Doctorate of Social Work (DSW/PhD). Pursuing LCSW, CSW, or LSW licensure.

Marriage and Family Therapy

MFT master's or doctoral programs. Pursuing LMFT or associate MFT licensure.

Psychology

Clinical or counseling psychology doctoral programs (PsyD, PhD). Pre-licensure or newly licensed psychologists.

Addiction Counseling

Substance use counseling, addiction studies, or behavioral health programs. Pursuing LCAC, LAC, CADC, or equivalent certification.

CE Broker Reporting

CE Broker provider number #50-40520. If your state uses CE Broker (including Florida, Georgia, and Alabama), you can self-report your completed hours directly.

Therapy Trainings® Approvals and Provider Designations

All courses available through the New Graduate Program are approved by the following national organizations. Most state licensing boards accept CE from these nationally approved providers for license renewal.

NBCC — ACEP No. 7439
Therapy Trainings® has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7439. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Therapy Trainings® is solely responsible for all aspects of its programs.
ASWB ACE — Provider No. 1945
Therapy Trainings®, #1945, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 12/6/2024–12/6/2027.
NAADAC — Provider No. 270493
Therapy Trainings® is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, Provider No. 270493. Therapy Trainings® is responsible for all aspects of its programming.

Therapy Trainings® is a CE Broker approved provider. CE Broker provider number #50-40520. Applicable to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and other CE Broker states.

Therapy Trainings® is a continuing education provider approved by the organizations listed above. It is not an accredited college, university, or academic institution. Always verify CE acceptance with your specific state licensing board and profession.

Required Eligibility Documentation

Your application must include one of the following documents confirming your graduation or upcoming graduation date:

  • Diploma or degree certificate
  • Official graduation letter from your institution
  • Screenshot or printout from your school's student portal confirming your graduation date
For Upcoming Graduates
  • Enrollment verification letter showing your expected graduation date
  • Advisor letter or program completion letter confirming final semester status
  • Screenshot from your school confirming expected graduation term

Our team reviews each application to verify eligibility. You will receive an email with next steps after your application is reviewed.

Once approved, you'll receive a coupon code to enroll in the Unlimited CE plan at no cost for 12 months.

What to Expect After You Apply

After submitting your application, our team will review your documentation and verify your eligibility. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application. If your application is approved, you will receive a coupon code by email that you can use to enroll in the Unlimited CE plan at no cost for 12 months.

If we need additional information or your documentation does not meet the eligibility requirements, we will contact you by email. If you have not received a response after several business days, check your spam folder or contact [email protected].

Important: Do not create a paid Therapy Trainings account before receiving your coupon code. Apply first, wait for approval, then use your coupon code to enroll at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for the New Graduate Program?
The program is open to graduates of accredited master's or doctoral programs in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or addiction counseling who graduated within the last 6 months, or who are currently in their final semester. All license types are welcome, including LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologists, and addiction counselors.
What counts as proof of graduation?
We accept official or unofficial transcripts, a diploma, a graduation letter from your institution, or a screenshot from your school's student portal confirming your graduation date. For upcoming graduates, an enrollment verification letter or advisor letter showing your expected graduation date is acceptable.
How long do I have to apply after graduating?
You must apply within 6 months of your graduation date. If you are about to graduate, you can apply now and your access will be activated once your graduation is confirmed. If you graduated more than 6 months ago, you are not eligible for the free program, but Unlimited Plus at $75/year is available to everyone.
What happens after I submit the application?
Our team reviews each application to verify eligibility. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting. If your application is approved, you will receive a coupon code by email to enroll in the Unlimited CE plan at no cost for 12 months. If we need more information, we will contact you by email.
Will these CE hours count toward my license?
In most states, yes. Therapy Trainings® is approved by NBCC (ACEP No. 7439), ASWB ACE (Provider No. 1945), and NAADAC (Provider No. 270493), the major national CE approval bodies for mental health professionals. Most state licensing boards accept CE from nationally approved providers. Always verify the specific CE requirements for your profession and state using our CE requirements by state guide.
Do I need to create an account before applying?
No. Submit the application first and wait for your approval email. Once approved, you will receive a coupon code to use when creating your Therapy Trainings® account. Do not purchase a paid plan before receiving your coupon.
What happens after my free year ends?
After your free year, you can continue with a paid Unlimited CE plan at $75/year for on-demand courses, or upgrade to Unlimited Plus at $129/year which also includes 24 live CE webinars every year. You can choose your plan or cancel before your renewal date.
Are live CE webinars included in the free year?
No. The New Graduate Program provides access to on-demand self-paced courses. Live CE webinars (24 per year) are a benefit of the Unlimited Plus plan at $129/year and are not included in the free graduate access.
My graduation was more than 6 months ago. Is there any discount available?
The free year is available only to graduates within 6 months of graduation. However, Unlimited CE at $75/year is already one of the most affordable options for mental health CE. If you need live webinars and on-demand courses, Unlimited Plus at $129/year gives you both. See the offer below.
Can I use these CE hours in states that use CE Broker?
Yes. Therapy Trainings® is a CE Broker approved provider, provider number #50-40520. If your state uses CE Broker (including Florida, Georgia, and Alabama), you can self-report your completed hours using this provider number.
