This comprehensive course on Anti-Racism Training for Mental Health Professionals is designed to equip mental health practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively address racism, discrimination, and bias in their practice. In today's diverse and interconnected world, mental health professionals must be equipped to provide equitable and culturally sensitive care to all clients. This course offers a deep dive into the principles of anti-racism and their application within the mental health field.
Course Objectives:
In this course, you will learn to:
Equip with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and respect diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering a culturally sensitive approach to mental health care.
Enable to recognize their own implicit biases and engage in critical self-reflection, with the aim of mitigating bias in clinical practice.
Empower to actively promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within their clinical settings, ensuring that marginalized populations receive fair and just treatment.
Encourage to appreciate the intersecting identities and experiences of clients, considering factors such as race, gender, sexuality, and socioeconomic status in treatment planning and interventions.
Educate about the impact of systemic and structural racism on mental health outcomes and equip them with strategies to advocate for systemic change within the field.
Improve the ability of mental health professionals to engage in effective cross-cultural communication, enabling them to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Course completion requirements: To earn CE credit, professionals must purchase the course, read/listen to the presentation, and complete the posttest (with a passing score of 80%) and course evaluation. Posttests may be retaken as many times as you need. Certificates of completion will be emailed immediately after course completion and can be accessed from your account anytime.
