Course Overview:
Implicit Bias Awareness Training for Mental Health Professionals is a comprehensive program designed to equip mental health professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to recognize and address implicit biases in their practice. Implicit biases are unconscious attitudes or stereotypes that can influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors towards individuals from diverse backgrounds. Understanding and mitigating these biases is essential for providing equitable and culturally sensitive mental health care.
Course Objectives:
In this course, you will learn to:
Utilize the knowledge and awareness necessary to recognize and address implicit biases that may affect their clinical judgments, interactions with clients, and treatment decisions;
Use tools and strategies to identify and mitigate implicit biases, thereby promoting equitable and inclusive mental healthcare services for all individuals, regardless of their background or identity, and
Utilize awareness of implicit biases and their potential impact on therapeutic relationships, leading to better client outcomes and the establishment of more effective therapeutic alliances built on trust and empathy.

Course completion requirements: To earn CE credit, professionals must purchase the course, read/listen to the presentation, and complete the posttest (with a passing score of 80%) and course evaluation. Posttests may be retaken as many times as you need. Certificates of completion will be emailed immediately after course completion and can be accessed from your account anytime.
This course has been approved by Therapy Trainings™, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for 2 CE hours. NAADAC provider #270493. Therapy Trainings™ is responsible for all aspects of its programming.
